
Job Title: Care Manager to be Registered Manager Job Description: We are looking for a motivated and experienced Team Leader or Deputy Manager to provide support with the services set up and supervise the delivery of care within the supported living company. If successful, you will lead the development of a new high-quality service working towards the physical and emotional support for the service users KMA Housing accommodates. You will also manage the day-to-day planning and operations, and supervise teams of support and care workers. Job specifics Due to the current CQC application process this role will be part time until successful registration with the CQC. Duties of the job include: The successful candidate will be required to familiarise themselves with all company policies and procedures and continue to develop these in line with the service. Other duties include: ā setting up, running and promoting the service in line with the statement of purpose, ā working with directors and staff team to ensure the service adheres to Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and keeps up with other government and CQC guidance or any new and upcoming legislation, ā developing and implementing systems and processes that track service user development and ensure quality in line with placing authority requirements, ā developing effective lines of communication with the teams around the service users and other organisations that promote and support positive outcomes for service users, ā promoting, understanding, and developing an effective safeguarding network within the service and the community, ā monitoring the day-to-day running of the service, supervising and developing a team of support workers, ā ensuring compliance with and further development of our policies and procedures, ā actively developing and promoting the service to local authorities and key stakeholders, ā building effective relationships with families, safeguarding, leisure, and education services to promote positive outcomes, ā training and inducting new staff, ā working with rotas and on-call systems to ensure round-the-clock effective support. ā writing support plans and performing care assessments, ā completing service user records, ā developing and leading activities for service users, ā keeping families up to date about their relativesā progress. Ideal Candidate Qualifications and Requirements: ā A relevant degree or qualification in social work, social care, psychology, or a related field is desirable. A management qualification is desirable. ā Experience with specific service user groups, people with learning disabilities and autism. ā NVQ Level 5 in management is required or willingness to work towards this. ā Substantial experience in a managerial role within a supported living setting. ā In-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework, including CQC standards, safeguarding, procedures, and relevant legislation. ā Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse team of staff. ā Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with residents, staff, and external stakeholders. ā A thorough understanding of person-centred care and experience in developing and implementing care plans. ā Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to handle complex situations effectively. ā Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation. ā Flexibility in working hours. To provide advice, assistance and support to young people. To attend to their practical, physical and emotional needs. To act as an appropriate role model and to work closely with them to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential. Key Responsibilities 1. To work in a small team to support and implement the development of the childrenās home., 2. To enhance and effect change to the good of all children with whom they work by acquiring the necessary skills through their own training and development., 4. To ensure that the young peopleās needs are recognised and met. This includes ensuring that they are free from discrimination with the home and to challenge discrimination from outside the home., 5. To protect the young people from harm in and outside the home, 6. To assist the management in the home in compliance with Ofsted, legislation and the ethos and policies of the company., 7. To exercise responsible control over the children to ensure their safety and wellbeing and assist them in developing acceptable standards of personal hygiene and behaviour. This also applies to encouraging children to abide by house rules and principles., 8. To participate in the development implementation and monitoring of the individual young peopleās care plans., 9. In accordance with plans for the day, to organise and supervise recreational and leisure activities both in and out of the home to provide the children with an interesting and stimulating life. This includes being prepared to spend time away from the home, on holiday and at camps etc., 10. To ensure positive participation in the companyās internal training scheme., 11. To be familiar with and follow the Local Authority Child Protection Procedures and Bull Care Services teamās Safer Caring and Child Protection Proceduresā. All Information coming to the knowledge of staff must in the first instance be reported immediately to the Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or Senior Residential Worker., 12. To develop and maintain good working relationships with parents, social workers, schools and other professionals concerned with the welfare of the young people., 13. To use the home as a model to support and develop the social skills of the young people being looked after., 14. To ensure that the home meets the needs of the individual young people and the needs of the group., 15. To maintain a good understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures, 16. To care for children when they are ill and, where necessary, administer medicines, drugs and treatment under the guidance of the childās medical practitioner., 17. To perform household duties as required. This includes cooking and general cleaning, sorting laundry, checking childrenās bedrooms and encouraging them to keep their rooms tidy. Pay: Ā£33,000.00-Ā£35,000.00 per year Full Time and Part Time 12hr, 24hr shifts and 5pm-11pm plus sleep available Experience with social care and children is required

We are a small accounting practice providing accounting and administration services to retail, manufacturing, financial and service provider clients. We provide Bookeeping, Annual Accounts, Tax Returns, Management Reports, Payroll and Admin services. All our clients are set up on cloud accounting software. We work with FreeAgent, Xero, Quickbooks and IRIS. We also perform a lot of analysis using excel. The job will be homebased and will require a laptop or PC with access to the internet. The responsibilities will include the following: Ā· Bookkeeping Ā· Posting journals Ā· Creating and maintaining monthly excel spreadsheets Ā· Attaching and matching invoices/receipts/backup to transactions Ā· Keeping track of all client reporting deadlines and sending reminders to clients Ā· Communicating with clients over email and over telephone Ā· Completing Bank reconciliations Ā· Completeing Balance Sheet reconciliations Ā· Completing VAT Returns Ā· Running Fixed Asset Registers Ā· Running Monthly Payroll Training will be provided on all accounting and tax software, basic bookkeeping, administration and communicating with clients.
