Role: Lead Receptionist/Administrator Reporting to: General Manager Contract: Full-time (part-time considered) Hours: 40 hours per week, including regular weekends and evenings Location: Royal Southern Yacht Club, Hamble SO31 4HB Based in the heart of the Hamble River with The Solent on our doorstep, we are one of the world’s finest yacht clubs with a sailing area to match. At The Southern we pride ourselves on our superb Clubhouse and facilities, a dedicated staff who work around the clock to make every Member and guest feel welcome, and our ability to run world class events time and time again. We are currently seeking a warm, professional, and highly organised Lead Receptionist/Administrator to be the welcoming face of the Club and to support our membership and front-of-house operations. About the Role This is a key front-facing role where you’ll be the first point of contact for members, guests, and visitors. You will ensure a high standard of service at reception and support the day-to-day operations of the Club. The role involves collaboration with all departments to deliver a seamless and enjoyable experience for our members and guests. Key Responsibilities • Welcome all members, overnight residents and visitors in a friendly and professional manner., • Greet all guests to the Club, assist check-ins and check-outs., • Oversee our hotel management system as well as third party interfaced sites., • Manage room rates via our website, including special offers., • Manage bedroom, restaurant enquiries and bookings., • Manage room bills and ensure payments are taken in line with club policy., • Assist all departments with general administrative tasks., • Support all departments with procurement research and ordering., • Handle telephone and email enquiries promptly and courteously., • Provide accurate information on Club facilities, events, and services., • Manage guest sign-ins and ensure reception areas are tidy and presentable., • Liaise with the Housekeeping team to coordinate guest stays and room requirements., • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and data protection standards.
