Role - Procurement Manager (wheat / flour) c£70k + Bonus + Benefits • PERMANENT ROLE, • HYBRID - 4 DAYS ON SITE, • PROCUREMENT EXPERIENCE IN SOUTH ASIA ADVANTAGEOUS, • PROCUREMENT EXPERIENCE IN WHEAT / FLOUR ADVANTAGEOUS My client is a leader in their field, due to continued growth they are looking for a procurement manager with global commodity experience (south asia ideal). Experience in the commodities of wheat or flour distinctly advantageous. My client is on a rapid growth trajectory with circa 500 employees and growing. You will be joining at an exciting time of growth within the established procurement team. Duties and Responsibilities • Developing and implementing appropriate category strategies for the relevant commodities, • Ongoing commodity risk management (CRM) and mitigation planning, • Contributing to the budget process and ownership of Purchase Price Variance (PPV) as relevant to the category, • Delivery of cost savings and cost avoidance programmes, • Supplier relationship management, performance management and relevant KPI’s, • Execution of tenders and negotiation of supplier contracts, • Development of appropriate category strategies to maximise commercial benefit and security of supply, • Management of CRM within the category, monitoring PPV, global market trends, commodity prices and industry developments to identify opportunities and manage risk Skills and Experience • 5+ Years experience in relevant commodity markets mainly in food manufacturing, • Experience in supplier relationship management, • Experience in Commodity Risk Management, • Experience in ERP and MRP tools, • Ability to analyse and interpret data, • Competent in negotiation skills, • Working knowledge of supplier contracts and key legal principles, • Understanding of global supply chains, ideally with experience of identifying and implementing a best-in-class supply base If you feel you have the skills and experience, please upload your CV in the first instance
