New Product Development Test Engineer- Aberdeen JAB Recruitment is delighted to partner with our client in the energy technology sector to recruit a New Product Development (NPD) Test Engineer. Our client is an innovative and forward-thinking organisation, specialising in well intervention and well barrier technology, with a strong focus on supporting the global energy transition. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with a strong mechanical background to play a key part in developing and testing cutting-edge tools, supporting prototype deployment, and providing technical expertise to customers worldwide. Key Responsibilities • Manage and develop new product testing facilities., • Perform design verification and function testing of prototype and existing products., • Undertake validation testing against industry standards (ISO, API)., • Provide tool training, servicing, and operational guidance to customers., • Support pre-commercial and early in-field deployments of new technologies., • Advise sales teams on opportunities from a technical perspective., • Participate in design reviews and provide engineering support across projects., • Deliver high-quality test reports with recommendations., • Travel nationally and internationally to support customer operations. About You • Mechanical engineering qualification with a strong technical background., • Experience in well intervention, completions, P&A, or artificial lift operations., • Skilled in producing clear and detailed technical test reports., • Strong interpersonal and communication skills., • Able to critically assess customer challenges and develop innovative solutions., • International travel experience advantageous.
