As a Technical Sales Engineer at KLINGER UK, you will provide expert product selection guidance, quotations, and technical customer support to internal colleagues and external clients. The role supports a broad customer base across multiple industries, including oil & gas, petrochemical, power, marine, water, and manufacturing, with a focus on Level Gauges, Magnetic Level Gauges, and Industrial Valves. The role combines technical knowledge with responsive customer service to support sales activity and deliver effective solutions. • One half-day early finish each week (usually a Friday), • Cycle to Work Scheme, • Service Award Scheme with increasing annual leave and long service payments, • 33 days annual leave entitlement, inclusive of statutory bank holidays, • Fixed contribution pension scheme, • Group life related benefits, • Employee Assistance Programme access, • Free On-site parking, • Regular philanthropic and social engagements Key Accountabilities • Provide technical guidance on the selection and specification of level gauges, magnetic level indicators, and valves in line with customer requirements and process conditions, • Review marketing and training materials, including datasheets, to ensure technical accuracy in collaboration with the marketing team and internal stakeholders, • Prepare accurate and timely quotations, technical documentation, and commercial proposals in partnership with sales and customer services teams, • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, acting as a key technical point of contact, • Maintain a detailed understanding of the product portfolio, including applications, relevant standards (e.g. ASME, API), and industry best practices, • Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to support the development and testing of products in response to market needs Key Competencies • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in internal technical sales within the instrumentation or valve sector., • Strong understanding of mechanical process equipment, ideally with hands-on experience or engineering education., • Experience working with OEMs or manufacturers of level and flow instrumentation. (Desirable), • Previous experience in Oil & Gas industry (Desirable), • Experience with EPC Technical Evaluation Processes (Desirable), • Excellent communicator (written, verbal and listening), • Ability to communicate in a professional manner, • Effective time management/organisational skills, • Strong work ethic and reliability
