Compressors Service Engineer – BOGE Compressors UK (Huddersfield) Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary will be aligned with your skills, experience, and the value you bring to the role. At BOGE Compressors UK, we design, manufacture, and service advanced compressed air systems trusted by industries across the UK — from food and beverage to manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. The Role We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join our Huddersfield-based team. You’ll be responsible for: • Servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing air compressors and ancillary equipment, • Carrying out diagnostics, maintenance, and fault-finding on mechanical and electrical systems, • Maintaining accurate records, including service databases, job sheets, and mileage reports, • Working closely with our Service Manager and Coordinators as part of a dedicated mobile service team, • Supporting the Technical Service Manager with site visits to diagnose and rectify system faults, • Identifying upgrade opportunities and referring new product leads to the Sales team, • Providing telephone troubleshooting support to BOGE UK customers and distributors About You You’ll have: • Minimum 5 years’ experience in servicing and repairing compressed air or similar rotating equipment, • Strong mechanical, electrical, and pipefitting experience (refrigeration experience desirable), • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (SAP and Lotus Notes experience desirable), • Valid full UK driving licence and safe driving record, • FGAS certification, BCAS DipCAM, or other relevant qualifications (desirable) What We Offer • Competitive salary with Technician’s Incentive Bonus Scheme, • Quarterly Safe Driving Bonus, • 40 hours per week (core hours 8:00 – 16:30) with overtime available, • Company van, mobile phone, laptop, and credit card for business use, • 25 days holiday plus public holidays, • Staying-out allowance, hotels, and meals covered for overnight stays, • Ongoing technical training and career development, • Occasional European travel opportunities Join a company that values expertise, teamwork, and long-term relationships – with customers and employees alike.
