Job Description: As part of the Mayor of London Skills Boot Camp program Big Creative Education is overseeing a 4-week training that when complete feeds into multiple Live Event Creative Technician vacancies with GE Production. To receive a guaranteed interview with GE Production the 4 week skills training and subsequent accreditation must be completed. This Skills Bootcamp runs for 4 weeks, with sessions held 4–5 days per week (18 days total). Each day lasts about 6 hours, combining classroom learning, warehouse and live venue/site experience. Applicants must be 19+ live in London. The Role/s This role combines hands-on project support and technical preparation. It suits someone who enjoys delivering shows and making sure they’re properly prepared, documented, and improved behind the scenes. You’ll support delivery across events and band work, while also assisting with project preparation, systems, and technical organisation. You don’t need to know everything already - but you do need solid fundamentals, curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly and apply what you’ve learned without too much repetition. We’re looking for someone who wants continuity, responsibility, and long-term development within the business. Key Responsibilities Work professionally with artists, bands, and clients on site Prep & Project Support Prepare audio equipment for upcoming jobs and de-prep on return Ensure correct equipment, quantities, and configurations are ready Assist with audio system planning, input lists, and stage plots Support smooth load-ins and load-outs Take on technical aspects of quoting Keep audio-related information up to date in Current RMSSupport accurate tracking of equipment in and out Work with the office team to ensure projects are well documented and technically sound, from quote stage right through to loading a van. Comfort with systems, attention to detail, and keeping information tidy is essential. Collaboration Work closely with the owner and wider team Support freelance engineers when working together Flag technical or logistical issues early, not on site Weekend & Peak Season Commitment GE Production’s busiest period is the summer events season and so as part of this role, you will be expected to be regularly available for Saturday event work during peak season, particularly for band shows and key productions. All event days are paid separately at an agreed day rate and weekend work is planned in advance wherever possible This role is not suited to someone who wants to avoid on-site show delivery. Successful candidates will: Have an understanding in live sound or audio for events and be confident working on shows with appropriate support Pick things up quickly and have a genuine interest in live audio technologies Be comfortable balancing practical work with admin and systems Be reliable, calm under pressure, and good with people Interested in growing with the business Whilst we will consider a local candidate without one, the ideal candidate will have a full UK Driving License. Progression As the business grows, there will be opportunities to take on greater technical responsibility, with senior roles including Senior Audio Technician, Project Manager and Head of Audio all within our future scope.
