We provide respite services for families, and many of the children who attend have complex and high levels of need. We are therefore looking for people who already have relevant experience supporting children with SEND and are confident working in a hands-on support role. Available Work After School: 3:00pm–6:00pm Sundays: 9:00am–12:00pm School Holidays: 9:00am–3:00pm Our next holiday scheme will run from 26th–30th October. You can work across different sessions depending on your availability. About the Role You will support children with a wide range of additional needs to take part in activities, play, socialise and have fun in a safe and supportive environment. The role can involve supporting children with complex and challenging needs. Some children require personal care, including support with toileting and changing nappies. Some of the children we support can also become very physical when dysregulated. You will need to be confident remaining calm, following agreed support plans and working closely with the rest of the QuestLearn team. Positive handling training would be very beneficial, although it is not essential. We Are Looking For Someone Who Is: • Enthusiastic, positive and fun, • Hardworking and reliable, • Proactive and able to use their initiative, • Patient, calm and flexible, • Comfortable providing personal care, • Confident supporting children with complex needs, • Experienced in working with children with SEND, • Able to work effectively as part of a team An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
