SEMH Teaching Assistant Canterbury Academics are seeking a resilient, empathetic, and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in one of our welcoming partner schools in Canterbury, East Kent. What you'll do as an SEMH Teaching Assistant: • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, • Assist in implementing behaviour strategies and personalised support plans, • Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and a positive sense of wellbeing, • Help pupils develop confidence, self-esteem, and coping strategies, • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral teams, • Create a calm, safe, and structured environment that supports learning and emotional growth
