We are currently recruiting for a Sterile Services Technician vacancy. About You Do you want to spend your working time making a difference in the world around you Are you passionate about helping our incredible national health service make a difference Do you care about keeping vulnerable patients safe If so then a career with STERIS Instrument Processing would be a great fit for you. This is a weekend only role the working hours are from 8pm to 6am on Saturdays and Sundays. During your first 12 weeks you will be training and the working hours may be slightly different - this will be discussed with you at interview. • Following a highly regulated end to end sterilization/decontamination process on surgical instruments that have been used in operations in local NHS and private hospitals to ensure they can be used again safely for the next patient., • Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables (dressings linen surgical instruments and equipment) by the process of decontamination inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards., • Rigorously checking washing laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards., • Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors ultrasonic and sterilisers) effectively., • Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak)., • Full structured and comprehensive training, • Ongoing education leading to industry-recognised qualifications, • Defined career path when fully operational, • A diverse and people-centric culture Whether you have no experience whatsoever or you have previously worked in the healthcare industry we want to hear from you!
