SEMH and Wellbeing Support Assistant Location: Cheltenham Salary: £90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience) Job Type: Full-time Start Date: ASAP SEMH and Wellbeing Support Assistant Are you passionate about supporting children's mental health, emotional wellbeing, and educational development? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Cheltenham is seeking a dedicated SEMH and Wellbeing Support Assistant to join their supportive team. The Role • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, • Support children who may experience anxiety, emotional dysregulation, or barriers to learning, • Deliver targeted small-group interventions focused on confidence, resilience, and social skills, • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to support positive outcomes, • Build strong, trusting relationships that help pupils feel understood and valued, • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SEN professionals, and external agencies to support individual learning plans, • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment across the school What We're Looking For • A patient, resilient, and empathetic nature, • Confidence supporting children with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural needs, • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, • A genuine interest in psychology, mental health, education, or child development, • Previous experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals (desirable but not essential) What's on Offer?
