Finance Manager – Merseyside £60,000 – £65,000 The Role Sowena Group are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a high-growth, multi-entity services group at a key point in its expansion. As Finance Manager, you’ll take the lead on all monthly reporting, balance sheet integrity, and financial controls across several entities within the group, ensuring the finance function runs smoothly and supports the pace of growth. This position offers the chance to work closely with a driven senior leadership team, delivering accurate reporting, strong planning discipline, and insightful analysis to aid strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Oversee end-to-end monthly reporting for multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate management accounts., • Manage all balance sheet reconciliations, working papers, and key financial schedules., • Lead and support a small finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and development., • Maintain robust cashflow forecasting, monitoring performance and highlighting variances., • Review monthly results, providing commentary and insight to senior stakeholders., • Drive continuous improvement across reporting, controls, and processes., • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, working closely with the wider finance leadership team., • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and group reporting requirements., • Prepare information for internal and external audits, acting as a key point of contact., • Partner with operational and commercial teams to improve performance, challenge assumptions, and enhance financial understanding., • Produce ad-hoc analysis, dashboards, and reports to support strategic decisions. Requirements • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience., • Strong background in management accounting within a multi-entity or fast-paced business., • Proven experience owning month-end close and balance sheet accuracy., • Confident working with complex reconciliations and high-volume data., • Track record of improving reporting quality, systems, and financial processes., • Experience managing or mentoring team members., • Advanced Excel skills and strong knowledge of accounting systems.
