Key Responsibilities- Field Service Engineer – Lighting • Perform commissioning, replacement, preventive, and corrective maintenance on intelligent emergency lighting systems and central battery installations., • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues remotely and on-site, providing effective solutions and collaborating with specialist teams., • Proactively identify opportunities to expand service offerings and improve customer operations by eliminating pain points., • Deliver exceptional customer service with a "first-time-right" approach, planning and executing work to meet expectations, timelines, and quality standards., • Prepare materials, parts, and equipment; complete accurate documentation, reports, and customer sign-offs., • Recommend proactive corrective actions, prevent issue recurrence, and drive continuous improvement in processes and ways of working. Experience/Qualifications - Field Service Engineer – Lighting • Minimum HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering., • At least 2 years' professional experience in maintenance, commissioning, or troubleshooting of electrical installations (intelligent/emergency lighting experience preferred)., • Solid knowledge of electronics, comfortable using tools like computers, tablets, and Microsoft Office., • Customer-focused with a representative appearance, strong organisational skills, autonomy, and high motivation in dynamic environments., • Full UK driving licence and flexibility for travel across the UK & Ireland, including occasional weekends or out-of-hours work. Key skills required for the role of Solution Design Engineer: • Proven experience in a Solutions Design / Applications Engineering / Sales Engineering / Technical Sales role gained working in the intralogistics / warehouse automation, logistics automation and / or automated material handling systems domain., • Proven experience in designing / concepting / specifying warehouse automation solutions and creating system layouts., • Experience of working within a 3D design software (ideally. SketchUp or Demo3D)., • Able to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders., • A solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills., • Willingness to travel and spend time on customer sites as required.
