We are currently looking to recruit an experiencedHGV Technician / Chargehandand anHGV Technicianto join our busy workshop team at ourWillenhall depot. This is a great opportunity to become part of a professional and supportive environment where maintaining a reliable and safe fleet is our top priority. The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out inspections, servicing, diagnostics and repairs on a range of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they meet the highest safety and compliance standards. The Chargehand role will also involve supporting the workshop team and helping to ensure daily operations run efficiently. HGV Technician/Chargehand: Working Hours:Alternative shifts, Earlies and Lates: • Week 1, Monday to Friday, 6.30 am to 3.30 pm., • Week 2, Monday to Friday 9.30 am to 6.30 pm. Key Responsibilities: • Carry out diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles., • Support the Workshop Controller in coordinating daily workshop activities., • Provide technical guidance and support to other technicians when required., • Ensure work is completed to manufacturer and company standards., • Assist with job allocation and prioritisation within the workshop., • Maintain high levels of health and safety compliance., • Complete all relevant paperwork and job records accurately. Qualified HGV Technician: Working Hours:Monday to Friday, alternating shifts: • 06.30am - 3.30pm Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times. Key Responsibilities: • Perform servicing and repairs on HGV vehicles, adhering to the rigorous quality standards established by DAF and the Commercial Motor Industry., • Utilising your expertise in diagnosing defects to accurately identify and address mechanical issues., • Collaborating effectively within a team of professionals, fostering cooperation to achieve operational goals., • Demonstrating a positive and proactive approach when solving technical problems, contributing to the smooth workflow of the workshop., • Communicating clearly and effectively with colleagues, ensuring seamless information documentation and exchange regarding repair processes and progress., • Qualified HGV Technician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)., • Previous experience working on heavy commercial vehicles., • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills., • Ability to support and guide other technicians within a team environment., • Good organisational and communication skills., • A proactive and professional approach to work. adi Mechanical Pipe Fitter Welders Locations - Rushden, East Staffordshire, Birmingham and Liverpool About the Role We are looking for experienced fabricator welders with strong backgrounds in stainless steel fabrication and process pipework installation within the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors. The ideal candidate will be a time-served fabricator with proven experience in pipework and vessel fabrication. You should be capable of working independently, using your own initiative, and delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision. Specifically, your key responsibilities will include: • Workshop-based fabrication, sheet metal work and welding, • Site-based fabrication, machinery and pipework installations in the process industry, • Installing hygienic pipework, steam and condensate systems., • Primarily using TIG purge welding to deliver high-quality installations, • Fabricating and installing access platforms, machinery guarding and process equipment, • Carry out mechanical fitting, assembly, and maintenance tasks, • Perform fabrication tasks in the workshop and on-site, ensuring excellent quality and efficiency, • Assist in generating bills of materials, preparing RAMS, and purchase requisitions as needed About you • Completion of a recognised qualification or time-served apprenticeship in a relevant trade., • Proven experience in stainless steel fabrication and process installations., • Significant experience in welding and fabrication, including pipework and bracketry, • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and P&ID’S, • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently., • Sound understanding of Health and Safety regulations and best practices.
