Director – Biostatistics (Asset Lead) – Pharma – UK – Remote / Hybrid We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Biostatistics Director to join a cross-functional team in a leading global pharmaceutical environment. This role requires strong independent leadership to support clinical and observational studies, medical affairs strategies, biomarker and PK/PD analyses, or regional projects. This is a 24-month contract position offering a annual rate of approximately £85,500, fully remote within the UK. We are seeking an experienced statistician with strong expertise in study design, statistical analysis, and Medical Affairs support. Please note that candidates with primarily programming-heavy experience are not a good fit for this position. Position Summary • Provide statistical leadership in the design and analysis of observational and/or interventional studies., • Author and review Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), analysis dataset specifications, and TFL shells., • Collaborate with programming, data management, and cross-functional teams for Phase 4 non-interventional studies., • Validate and review datasets and outputs., • Conduct statistical analyses for Medical Affairs and Real World Evidence (RWE) projects., • Support the development of abstracts, posters, and manuscripts for publication. How you will be a success The Senior Principal Biostatistician will be accountable for the leadership of the Biostatistics and Programming activities of a program of studies of moderate complexity and/or of high value with high impact for the organization. Also responsible for planning, monitoring, organizing and reviewing activities of biostatisticians and programmers working on the assigned program of studies, ensuring individual studies and the overall program of studies and integrated analyses are delivered on time, on budget to required quality. Accountabilities also include maintenance of consistency across studies. Key Qualifications and Skills • M.S. or Ph.D. degree in statistics, biostatistics, or related field., • Experience in statistics, biostatistics or related field, • Working experience in Vaccines or Respiratory or multi-TA studies, • Proven experience must be in a CRO or Pharmaceutical environment, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required., • Knowledge in applied parametric and nonparametric statistics and SAS programming skills., • Should be able to translate clients’ needs into statistical practice and educate clients in the use of statistics., • In-depth knowledge of study designs, and statistical analysis conventions in one or more therapeutic areas., • Knowledge of clinical trials methodology, regulatory requirements, statistics and statistical software packages, including SAS are a must.
