The Senior Finance Business Partner will act as a strategic advisor to their aligned business unit, providing financial insights and analysis to drive performance and support decision‑making. This role will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to align financial strategies with business goals. Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand their commercial and operational needs and provide financial guidance that supports strategic initiatives and business growth. Financial Analysis: Conduct in‑depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability assessments to inform business decisions. Ensure clarity of understanding on where and how the business unit creates value and how that value might be enhanced. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process for the UK Packaged business unit, providing insights and recommendations. Co‑ordinate quarterly forecasts ensuring risk and opportunities are challenged, quantified, and managed. Performance Monitoring: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business unit performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, summarizing insights and recommendations for business units. Cost Management: Identify cost‑saving opportunities and efficiencies, working with departments to implement financial controls and best practices. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Engage with various teams (e.g., operations, marketing, and sales) to ensure financial alignment and support for business initiatives. Project Support: Provide financial analysis and support for key projects, including investment appraisals and business case development. Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. To make a splash in this role you will bring…. • Proven experience in finance, with a focus on business partnering, financial analysis, or corporate finance., • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights., • Proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills; experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)., • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels., • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem‑solving., • Collaborative and relationship‑driven, with strong interpersonal skills., • Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and integrity., • Hands‑on attitude with a natural curiosity to learn.
