Joint Non-Executive Director (Chair of Audit Committee) Stockport NHS Foundation Trust & Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust Location: Trust-wide (presence required across both sites) Remuneration: £15,000 per annum (approx. 4–5 days per month) Closing Date: Midnight, 8th December 2025 Interviews: Week commencing 5th January 2026 About the Opportunity Stockport NHS Foundation Trust and Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust are seeking to appoint a Joint Non-Executive Director (Chair of Audit Committee) to join their Boards. This is an exceptional opportunity to help shape the future of two ambitious and forward-thinking NHS organisations working in close partnership to improve population health, reduce inequalities, and deliver outstanding patient care. Working alongside our Joint Chair, David Wakefield, and Joint Chief Executive, Karen James OBE, this new appointment represents the next step in developing shared governance and strategic alignment between our Trusts. The Role As Chair of the Audit Committees, you will: • Lead independent review of the Trusts’ financial statements and internal controls., • Oversee governance, risk management, and assurance processes across clinical and non-clinical areas., • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements., • CCAB qualification and membership of a recognised professional body., • A strong background in finance, audit, and governance., • Experience operating at a senior or board level in a complex or regulated environment.
