Oncology Homecare Nurse\n Tyne & Wear\n £43,700 + fully expensed company car and fuel card\n Full time – 40 hours per week\n \n Being an Oncology Homecare Nurse is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives. You will support patients in their own homes or in mobile clinics, helping to reduce the stress, travel, and long waiting times often associated with hospital visits. You will be a vital part of the care team, providing comfort and reassurance to patients and their families.\n In this role, you will deliver high-quality care at the forefront of oncology services. Your responsibilities may include blood tests, toxicity assessments, IV and oral chemotherapy, pump disconnections, line care, and IM/SC injections. We value clinical excellence and provide the guidance and support you need to deliver safe, personalised 1-to-1 care, while also offering the autonomy to manage your own patients effectively.\n \n The Role\n \n As an Oncology Homecare Nurse, you will support patients throughout their treatment journey in the comfort of their own homes, as well as in mobile units or clinics where required.\n Your responsibilities will include:\n\nAdministering IV chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive treatments\nCarrying out blood draws, toxicity assessments, and cannulation\nManaging central lines, pump disconnections, and IM/SC injections\nDelivering high-quality, patient-focused care in line with clinical protocols\nPlanning and managing your own daily schedule and travel between patientsThis role offers a high level of autonomy, supported by a strong clinical and operational team, enabling you to focus on delivering safe and effective care.\n \n Package and Benefits\n\nSalary £43,700 \nFully expensed company car and fuel card\nAnnual bonus scheme\n36 days annual leave (pro rata, including bank holidays)\nPrivate medical insurance\nCompany pension scheme\nLaptop, mobile phone and personal safety device\nNMC fees paid (after one year of service)\nOngoing training and development opportunities\nAccess to employee assistance programme and wellbeing resources\nRefer-a-friend scheme (up to £1,200)About You\n To be considered for this role, you will:\n\nHold a valid NMC PIN\nHave experience in Oncology nursing\nHold a recognised Oncology qualification, SACT passport, or equivalent training\nBe competent in venepuncture and cannulation\nHave experience administering Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) across multiple routes\nBe highly organised and confident managing your own workload and travel schedule\nPossess strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centred approach\nHold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel extensively across the Surrey areaIf you are looking for a part-time opportunity that offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a genuine difference in patients’ lives, I would be keen to speak with you.\n \n Meridian Business Support is a recruitment specialist acting on behalf of our client as an Employment Agency for this vacancy
