We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveying. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quantity surveying within the M&E sector, particularly in the nuclear and water industries. They will play a key role in managing costs and contractual agreements for our projects, ensuring profitability and compliance with industry standards. • Cost Management: Oversee all cost management aspects of projects, including estimating, budgeting, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle., • Contract Administration: Manage contract agreements and negotiations, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and minimizing risks., • Procurement: Coordinate procurement activities, including tendering, supplier selection, and contract awards, while ensuring value for money and adherence to project specifications., • Commercial Management: Monitor project financial performance, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate them. Provide accurate and timely financial reports to project stakeholders., • Variations and Claims: Assess and manage variations and claims, negotiating settlements where necessary and maintaining accurate records., • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, fostering collaboration and resolving disputes effectively., • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to junior members of the quantity surveying team, fostering their professional development and ensuring high performance standards., • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices., • Valuations, Monthly valuation preparation, forecasting and management. Your Experience and Skills: • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field is desirable but qualification through experience is welcomed. Professional accreditation (MRICS) is highly desirable., • Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying within the M&E sector, ideally with specific experience in the nuclear and water industries., • Proven track record of successfully managing costs and contracts for complex projects, delivering them on time and within budget., • Strong understanding of contractual agreements, procurement processes, and commercial management principles., • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels., • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Excel, and project management software., • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment, with the flexibility to work remotely when necessary., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
