Who we are The Working Mums Club is a nursery, cafe and co-working space based in Deptford. We’re creating a better way, with flexible childcare and coworking spaces that work around parents – not the other way around. We're blending childcare and coworking to create hyperlocal, hyper-convenient spaces where parents can be present for themselves and their children, if needed, in the day. Our cafe will be a hub for all our visitors; delivering nourishing food, great coffee, and a strong community atmosphere. The Working Mums Club is a place where mums really can have it all. The purpose of this role is to: Provide a warm welcome and excellent customer service. Serve high quality food and beverages. Ensure that the cafe is clean and safe at all times. Deal with customer queries in a proactive and efficient way. Being an ambassador for The Working Mums Club in all customer interactions. Core responsibilities • Serving food and drinks to a high standard., • Maintain clean and safe preparation areas, • Monitor and replenish stock., • Resolving customer issues politely and swiftly., • Operate tills and handle cash accurately. Person Specification • A passion for hospitality and being an awesome barista! (or willingness to become one)., • Friendly, personable and approachable., • Enjoys being part of a team which provides high quality customer service., • Qualified Barista (Desirable, training will be provided)., • Excellent communication skills and personal presentation., • Basic food hygiene knowledge or a Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (or willingness to complete)., • Able to work efficiently during busy times without losing attention to detail., • Confidence in operating till systems., • Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, and evenings as required., • Ability to stand for long periods and carry out light to moderate physical tasks., • This role is based in a space that provides childcare, so you will need a DBS check (paid for by us).
