SENCO Location: Wallington, SM6 Start Date: Feb Start Contract: Full-Time | Temp UET1 A well-regarded SEN school in SM6 is seeking a committed and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to lead and develop SEND provision across the school. The Role As SENCO, you will: • Lead and manage SEND provision across the school in line with the SEND Code of Practice, • Oversee and review EHCPs, IEPs, and provision maps, • Identify pupils with additional needs and ensure appropriate support is in place, • Work closely with teachers to support quality-first teaching and differentiation, • Line manage and support SEN TAs and support staff, • Liaise with parents, external agencies, therapists, and the local authority, • Attend and contribute to annual reviews and multi-agency meetings, • Support staff with SEN training, strategies, and best practice, • Monitor progress and impact of interventions About You • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant SEN qualification, • National SENCO Award (completed or willingness to work towards), • Proven experience supporting pupils with SEN, including EHCP processes, • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, • Confident, organised, and proactive leadership style, • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, • Passionate about inclusive education What’s on Offer • Supportive and experienced senior leadership team, • Dedicated time for SENCO responsibilities, • Ongoing CPD and professional development, • Opportunity to shape and develop SEND provision, • A rewarding role making a real difference to pupils and families
