Graduate - Classroom Assistant Start Date: After October half-term Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential for a permanent role) Salary: Based on experience and qualifications Are you a recent graduate eager to kick-start a career in education? A vibrant and supportive primary school in Wigan is looking for a passionate Graduate Classroom Assistant to join their team after October half-term. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a school setting, working alongside experienced teachers and supporting children s learning and development on a daily basis. What We re Looking For: A degree in any subject (Education, Psychology, or Child Development preferred but not essential). An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). A genuine interest in working with children and supporting their progress. Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards learning. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Any previous experience working or volunteering with children is an advantage. About the Role: Provide classroom support to the teacher, helping to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons. Work 1:1 or with small groups to reinforce learning and build pupils confidence. Assist in preparing teaching materials, setting up activities, and maintaining a positive learning environment. Encourage and motivate pupils to reach their potential through praise and guidance. Support children who may need extra help with their learning or social development. Contribute to a caring, well-organised, and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
