Business Development Manager (New Business) – SaaS (Engineering / Field Operations) Location: UK-wide (remote) Salary: Up to £30,000 basic + 10% commission (uncapped) OTE: £50,000+ (Year 1 realistic) The Company A fast-growing SaaS business building an operating system for engineering and field-based teams, helping organisations streamline workflows, improve visibility, and drive productivity across their workforce. The platform centralises operations, planning, collaboration, and reporting into a single system, enabling businesses to scale efficiently and make better data-driven decisions. With ambitious growth plans, the business is scaling across the UK, with a clear roadmap to expand into the US market within the next two years. The Role This is a true hunter / new business role, responsible for driving revenue growth across the UK market. You will own the full sales cycle – from prospecting through to close – targeting organisations with field-based engineers. Key Responsibilities • Generate new business opportunities through outbound activity (cold calling, LinkedIn, networking), • Identify and engage decision-makers across engineering, operations, and leadership teams, • Deliver product demonstrations and clearly articulate value propositions, • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to close, • Build and maintain a strong and consistent pipeline, • Collaborate closely with founders and leadership on go-to-market strategy Target Customers • Telecoms and fibre providers, • Construction and infrastructure businesses, • Utilities and field service organisations, • Any business with mobile engineering teams What They’re Looking For • Proven new business / hunter sales experience, • Background in telecoms, fibre, construction, or engineering-related sectors, • Comfortable selling into operational or technical environments, • Experience in SaaS or technology sales (preferred but not essential), • Highly self-motivated, driven, and resilient, • Ability to thrive in an early-stage or scale-up environment What’s On Offer • Up to £30,000 basic salary, • 10% commission (uncapped), • Full ownership of deals and territory, • Significant progression opportunities as the business scales, • Opportunity to move into international roles (US expansion within approximately two years), • Direct exposure to leadership and strategic growth Why Join? • Early-stage opportunity with strong growth trajectory, • Chance to be a foundational sales hire in the UK, • Clear progression into leadership or international expansion, • High-impact role with autonomy and ownership
