Based at their Remote Operations Centre in Rotherham, this role supports the real-time optimisation of production assets across multiple international sites. Operating from a 24/7 control room environment, you will use HMI/SCADA systems (including Siemens PCS7) to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of industrial gas production facilities, including Air Separation Units (ASU), HYCO, and CO₂ plants. Key Responsibilities • Monitor and manage the safe, efficient operation of production plants on a 24-hour basis, • Interface with sites and product supply teams to meet customer demand while minimising business costs, • Support remote plant start-ups, shut-downs, and emergency response scenarios, • Monitor and manage plant alarms, investigate performance issues, and track KPIs, • Conduct efficiency evaluations to identify performance gaps and recommend improvements, • Produce monthly performance reports and support continual improvement initiatives, • Assist with the onboarding and training of new sites into the control system What You’ll Bring to The Team • Minimum HNC in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or Chemical Process discipline, • Significant experience in control room operations within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Pharmaceutical environments, • Familiarity with fractional distillation, high-pressure transfer schemes, and pipeline operations, • Experience with process interfaces such as SCADA/HMI systems, ideally Siemens PCS7, • Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs, process schematics, and PFDs, • Experience with plant commissioning is advantageous, • High level of personal integrity and a collaborative approach to working within a control room team, • Engineering degree preferred but not essential with equivalent practical experience Ready to Take the Next Step?
