Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Flooring Estimator to join our team. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for new-build residential flooring projects, working closely with our clients, suppliers and internal contracts team. Key responsibilities will include: • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation, • Carrying out accurate flooring take-offs and measurements using digital take-off software, • Preparing detailed costings for carpet, vinyl and wood flooring packages, • Calculating materials, labour, wastage and associated costs, • Obtaining and reviewing supplier quotations, • Preparing and submitting competitive tenders, • Managing tender enquiries from initial receipt through to submission, • Liaising with housebuilders, developers and commercial teams, • Identifying value-engineering opportunities where appropriate, • Supporting the handover of successful tenders to our contracts/operations team The Candidate We are looking for someone with previous estimating experience within the flooring industry, ideally with experience of working on new-build residential developments.
