Head Chef La Nonna Pasta Fresca We work in an open kitchen so the customers can see us do what we do best! Our working hours are incredibly work-life balance friendly, having two days off per week, Monday being fixed as we are closed and all other days, you'll never work later than 11pm. We need chefs who will: Be able to develop dishes seasonally and understand the GP food costing in general. Be searching for a hands-on role. The Ideal Candidate will: Have previously worked with fresh pasta and Italian cuisine is essential Have excellent knowledge of running a kitchen. Dealing with suppliers and ensuring that they supply quality goods at affordable prices Managing the inventory and ordering stock as needed Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen equipment and organising repairs when needed Handling staff issues, such as sick leave and attendance, and taking disciplinary action when necessary Developing new dishes and overhauling menus to attract more clientele Ensuring that guests receive excellent service and enjoy their culinary experience Be passionate about food and the ingredients they work with Have at least 1 year experience in a structured kitchen environment as a Head Chef Be an exceptional communicator Have experience on running a kitchen during service Have a great work ethic that they can inspire the team Be calm under pressure, and work using their own initiative Hours The hours would be 48 hours per week, having two days off per week, including Mondays. We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to clean our kitchen and support our cooking staff. This is an entry-level job but if you’re good at it, you’ll be invaluable in making sure our kitchen is always sanitized and tidy. Kitchen Porter responsibilities include washing pots and pans, keeping floors clean, sanitizing food preparation areas and occasionally helping with food prep work. If you think you’ll enjoy the buzz of a busy kitchen, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you’ll help our kitchen adhere to health standards and service customers faster. Responsibilities Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitized. Sweep and mop floors at the beginning and ending of shifts. Be ready to clean up spills to avoid hindering operations. Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery fast to keep them in rotation. Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries. Keep the food and supply storage areas organized. Take out the garbage. Help with routine food prep tasks (such as peeling and chopping vegetables) when needed
