Duties and responsibilities Preparation of statutory Financial Statements Assist with the preparation of Group Financial Statements Engagement with external auditors to support the year-end audit process Preparation of other financial information for external parties as required. Management/financial accounting of all group entities including fixed assets, decommissioning provision, stock, and deferred income accounting Consolidation entries for group companies Revenue accounting for group assets Support tax manager regarding various tax matters Submission of non-audited accounts for smaller companies

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Contracts Specialist, based in Aberdeen. This a long term contract role with a large North Sea operator and it will be to support a portfolio of major capital projects, decommissioning and subsea contracts. This role would suit someone who has been working at a similar level with another North Sea operator. This Contract Specialist position will be responsible for the contractual management and administration of capital projects (including decommissioning / Plug and Abandonment activities). Responsibilities: - Manage post award contract / commercial management of the contracts already in place (Subsea, Topsides and Decommissioning): - Including contract progress verification, change management, claims mitigation, invoice verification and closeout. - Oversee preparation and administration of minor third-party contracts. - Ensure all compliance, project Joint Venture and Company requirements regarding contracting processes are satisfied; - Compliant contract administration; and - Engage and coordinate with Legal and other functional SMEs for contracting support. Tendering Involvement -Be the SCM focal point for future developments key tasks include; prepare requests for proposal documentation, coordination of subsequent evaluation / award recommendation, lead negotiations and contract development award. Additional Tasks - Management of SAP/eProcurement system records - Establish and ensure the needs and requirements of key internal and external stakeholders are met - Represent the Project(s) team as the SCM focal point at all monthly Tender Board Meetings as required. Experience & Qualifications: - Previous experience as a Contracts Advisor on capital projects, managing multiple large contracts, preferably having worked for Operators and/or Major Contractors in the UKCS space. Experience in subsea, subsea equipment, topsides fabrication and/or capital project contracts is required (preferably all aspects, but subsea experience is essential). -Highly experienced and knowledgeable with formal SCM systems including principals and associated processes, practices, or tools including contract drafting and formulation, legal requirements, Terms and Conditions and risk assessment. -Experienced and effective in interfacing with internal stakeholders such as core business operations, compliance, Legal, Finance, as well as the Procurement, Materials, QA/QC and Logistics element of the overarching supply chain management as well as external stakeholders. -Working knowledge of end-to-end Contracting process (planning, sourcing, negotiation and supplier management) -Proven business and commercial acumen, including negotiation. -Proficient in SAP, e-Procurement systems and Microsoft Office suite. -Ability to effectively communicate within a multi-functional project team and with various technical backgrounds -Preferably degree qualified in an appropriate commercial discipline (e.g. Quantity Surveying, Business Management, Law) Contract position.
