Key aspects of the Siemens Systems Engineer role include: • Working with Siemens PLCs using TIA Portal, with a strong focus on Structured Text, • Designing and developing control systems for automated warehouse and pallet handling solutions, • Involvement in full turnkey projects from concept and design through to commissioning, • Carrying out testing and development work in the Nuneaton-based innovation centre, • Supporting project delivery on-site, following systems through installation and commissioning, • Exposure to other PLC platforms such as Beckhoff and Allen Bradley, • Collaborating with a small UK team alongside international engineering groups
