Our client, a diverse farming and fresh produce business are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Shift Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team at their food manufacturing site in Brandon, Suffolk. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and fault-finding across a diverse range of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated production equipment. Working with a variety of machinery and control systems, you will help maximise plant reliability, drive continuous improvement, and support the delivery of high-quality products. • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, • Rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - 6:00 am-2:30 pm | Week 2 - 2:00 pm-10:30 pm, • One weekend every four weeks (Saturday or Sunday), • 31 days annual leave, including bank holidays, • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and implement effective solutions., • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment., • Respond promptly to breakdowns and carry out fault finding and repairs., • Monitoring and optimising production processes to maximise efficiency., • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance., • Supporting the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives., • Carrying out other ad hoc engineering and maintenance duties as required., • Relevant engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)., • Experience with PLC systems and automation., • Strong knowledge of maintenance and fault-finding for mechanical, electrical, and control systems., • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals., • Proactive and solution-focused approach., • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment., • High attention to detail., • Flexibility to work rotating shifts and participate in the weekend rota., • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly., • Knowledge of health and safety practices., • BS7671 Latest edition of wiring regulations., • Experience within a manufacturing or food production environment., • Experience with automated or packaging machinery., • Experience with PLC systems and automation., • 1 week full paid bereavement leave., • Profit related bonus., • Life Assurance after 2 years' service., • Health cash back plan for employee & dependants, on Optical, Dental, Physio, Diagnostic scans., • Wellbeing app, store discounts, reduced gym membership and Employee Assistance Programme - 24/7 counselling service #J-18808-Ljbffr
