Position:HGV Driver / Drainage Engineer Location:Ham Hill Depot: Brook Lane, Ham Hill, Snodland, Kent, ME6 5JX Reporting to:Depot Manager Join Our Team as an HGV Driver / Drainage Engineer We are currently seeking experienced and motivatedHGV 2 Driversto join our growing team. Working Hours • Monday to Friday:6:00am 4:00pm(50-hour contracted week), • Regularovertime opportunities, including evenings, nights, and weekends, • Flexible working structure:Can work up to12 consecutive working days, followed by a mandatory48-hour rest period, • Can work a pattern aligned to an18/6 schedule(up to 18-hour shifts including unpaid breaks, followed by 6 hours required downtime) Salary & Earning Potential • £13.45 per hour(£34,970 basic annual salary), • Overtime paid at £20.17 per hour(time and a half after 50 hours), • Significant earning potential through overtime can be £3k-5k+ monthly take home. But is dependent on the overtime you wish to do:, • Example:25hours weekly overtime x£20.17=£504.25x 4weeks in the month=£2017-20% Tax=£1613.60 on top of your normal basic take home monthly. (Please note that if you are to hit the higher tax threshold you would end up paying more tax), • Night Work Bonus:£45 per shift, • Call-Out Bonuses:£30 per weekday / £45 per weekend day Benefits • Competitive salary with excellent overtime rates, • Company pension & death-in-service cover, • 20 days annual leave, increasing with service, • Bank holiday incentives(e.g. double pay, time in lieu, £75 bonus for 10-hour shifts rates may vary), • Holiday pay based onaverage earnings (including overtime), • Employee Assistance & wellbeing programme, • Full PPE provided, • Free on-site parking, • Referral programme, • Company events, • Modern, well-maintained equipment, • Flexible working opportunities, • Strong focus onhealth, safety, and employee wellbeing, • Long-termcareer progression and job security Key Responsibilities • Operate specialist vehicles includingjetting tankers, super suction tankers, and combination units(training provided), • Respond toemergency callouts, including sewer blockages, flooding, and pollution incidents, • Work on both private and public land in line withhealth, safety, and environmental regulations, • Carry out vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift, • Accurately complete all job documentation, • Report defects, incidents, and near misses promptly, • Maintain driver logbooks in line with compliance requirements, • Ensure PPE is maintained and fit for use, • Keep vehicles and equipment clean, organised, and operational, • Attend training and support other teams when required Requirements • ValidHGV Class 2 licence, • CPC qualification, • Ability to work independently and follow remote instructions, • Professional and courteous when dealing with customers and the public Desirable (Not Essential) • Experience in drainage, liquid waste, or environmental services, • Street works or high-pressure water jetting experience Training Provided We invest in our team and provide full training, including: • First Aid, • Manual Handling, • Asbestos Awareness, • EUSR Water Hygiene Card (Blue), • EU Skills Card (Green), • Additional relevant safety and industry training JBRP1_UKTJ
