Asset Manager (Aviation / Landing Gear)\n\nI'm currently recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established organisation within the aviation MRO sector, who are looking to appoint an experienced Asset Manager to join their growing team.\n\nThis is a commercially focused role, ideal for someone with a strong background in aviation asset management, technical sales, or engineering, who thrives on identifying opportunities and driving revenue growth.\n\nThe Role\n\nThe primary focus of this position is to drive commercial success by identifying, pursuing, and securing new revenue opportunities through asset trading and tailored solution projects.\n\nYou'll act as a key link between Sales, Procurement, and Fulfilment teams, providing market intelligence and ensuring visibility of global landing gear asset availability. You'll also play a central role in optimising the asset pool to maximise availability, minimise costs, and improve return on investment while supporting MRO customer requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nBuild strong relationships with internal fulfilment teams and stakeholders to monitor and support asset pool activities\nManage and optimise asset lease contracts and overall asset portfolio\nDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliers, airlines, and trading partners\nNegotiate and execute contracts for asset purchases, leases, exchanges, and sales\nLead and manage asset solution projects to align supply with demand\nCoordinate asset documentation checks to ensure compliance and suitability\nCollaborate closely with procurement to align on pipeline, transactions, and requirements\nProduce regular financial and performance reports on asset types\nMaintain strong market awareness and share insights across the business\nMonitor KPIs and maintain full operational and financial oversight of assigned products\nDrive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with aviation regulations and internal processes\nManage and grow a portfolio of customer and supplier accounts through proactive networking\n\nAbout You\nDegree/Qualification (or equivalent experience) in Asset Management, Aviation Management, Aircraft Engineering, or similar\nProven experience within the aviation sector (asset management, engineering, or technical sales)\nStrong commercial awareness, ideally within an MRO environment\nConfident negotiator with experience managing contracts and supplier/customer relationships\nHighly organised with excellent project management skills\nStrong communication skills (written and verbal)\nEntrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, opportunity-driven approach\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities\nStrong networking and relationship-building capabilities\n\nDesirable:\nExisting network within the aviation MRO sector\nKnowledge of aviation contract law or legislation\nExperience with SAP ERP systems\nAdditional languages\n\nWhat's on Offer\nHybrid working model (After probation)\nOpportunity to work in a dynamic, commercially driven environment\nInternational travel to meet clients, suppliers, and attend industry events\nThe chance to play a key role in driving business growth and strategy\n\nAdditional Information\nApplicants must have the right to live and work in the UK without restriction\nOccasional overtime may be required based on business needs\nMandatory training will be provided\nSalary from £38,000 per annum\nFlexi time day shift \nTravel perks \n\nIf you feel you are suitable please apply now or contact Callum Withey at Shorterm group for more information
