    About the Role We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial and payroll records, processing day-to-day financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting management with financial information and cost analysis. Key Responsibilities • Record and verify daily financial transactions relating to sales and purchases., • Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records., • Reconcile accounts and identify and resolve discrepancies., • Prepare provisional balances and financial information for management review., • Calculate employees’ hours worked, wages, deductions and statutory contributions., • Process payroll accurately and on time, including holiday, sick and maternity pay., • Process employee expense claims and maintain supporting documentation., • Prepare cost and overhead analyses to assist management with financial planning and decision-making., • Maintain accurate payroll and accounting records in accordance with UK regulations and company procedures., • Assist with general financial administration and provide information required for internal reporting., • Ensure financial records are kept securely, accurately and up to date. Essential Skills and Experience • Previous experience in bookkeeping, payroll or a similar financial administration role., • Good understanding of bookkeeping and payroll processes., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy., • Good numerical and analytical skills., • Ability to maintain confidential financial and employee information., • Good organisational and time-management skills., • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines., • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting/payroll systems., • Understanding of UK payroll requirements and financial record-keeping. Desirable • Relevant bookkeeping, accounting or payroll qualification., • Experience working with accounting software., • Experience preparing cost, overhead or management information.

    Job Description: Job Summary Due to ongoing business growth We are a central Brighouse based waste transfer centre/skip hire company and we require a full time experienced and reliable skip driver to join our logistics team. Responsibilities will be operating skip lorries from 14 ton to 18 ton, to collect and deliver skips efficiently across various locations of Calderdale and Kirklees. Essential qualifications · An up to date Valid driving licence suitable for operating heavy goods vehicles HGV Class 2 licence, this is essential for this position, as is previous experience driving skip wagons and a knowledge of the area. · Must hold full drivers up to date CPC. Essential skills · Take a methodical approach to work · Be patient, able to work unsupervised, and stay calm under pressure · Have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers, and provide a high level of customer service · Be able to follow instructions, and know when to discuss changes to plans Hours and pay Hours: 45 hours per week 7-5 Monday to Friday, potential for alternate Saturday mornings. Pay: Will be negotiated at interview We have on site parking for employees and a pension scheme.
