We are seeking a highly capable Senior Office Manager with strong operational and people management experience to oversee the day-to-day running of the business, support strategic growth, and ensure operational excellence across administrative, commercial, and internal business functions. The Role This is a senior, hands-on role with broad operational responsibility and real influence across the business. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will act as the operational backbone of the company — ensuring that internal processes, administration, people management, and business operations run efficiently and professionally. You will lead office operations, support commercial activities, manage key internal processes, and take ownership of operational decision-making to help the business scale effectively while maintaining excellent service standards. This role would suit an experienced Office Manager, Operations Coordinator, or Business Support Manager looking to take the next step into a more commercially and operationally focused leadership position. Key Responsibilities Office & Business Operations Oversee the day-to-day running of office and administrative operations across the business Ensure internal systems, processes, and workflows operate efficiently and consistently Identify and implement operational improvements to support business growth and scalability Maintain office facilities, equipment, suppliers, and service contracts Ensure accurate document management, filing systems, and business records are maintained Support senior leadership with operational planning and business coordination Operational & Commercial Support Support the delivery and coordination of projects, resources, and operational schedules Manage client communications and ensure high levels of customer service Support commercial activities including quotations, proposals, reporting, and contract administration Work closely with leadership to monitor operational performance and business priorities Assist with supplier management and external stakeholder relationships Coordinate internal meetings, reporting, and action tracking Finance & Administration Oversee invoicing, purchase ledger administration, expense management, and financial record keeping Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes Liaise with external accountants and finance providers Monitor operational costs and support commercial decision-making through accurate administration and reporting Ensure payroll administration inputs are accurate and submitted on time HR & People Management Lead and oversee HR administration processes including recruitment coordination, on-boarding, absence tracking, training records, and employee documentation Support managers with employee relations, performance management, and people processes Help foster a positive, professional, and high-performing workplace culture Ensure company policies and procedures remain compliant and up to date Support staff development and training initiatives Leadership & Decision-Making Responsibilities Take ownership of operational decision-making within the office and administrative functions Manage priorities across multiple departments and ensure accountability for delivery Act as a trusted point of escalation for operational and administrative matters Support strategic business initiatives and continuous improvement projects Provide regular operational updates and management reporting to leadership Contribute to planning discussions and business improvement initiatives About You We are looking for an experienced, proactive, and commercially aware professional who thrives in a fast-paced SME environment and enjoys taking ownership.
