Job Title Senior Systems Engineer Location: Warton – Onsite Designing and assisting in the build of prototypes, products and systems suitable for testing, including the development of new products using novel technologies. Application of Control Systems Engineering practices to ensure design safety, reliability, integration and performance requirements are met Tailoring and developing Systems Engineering practices to suit the needs of a particular project / programme of work Knowledge of Systems Engineering and the Engineering Lifecycle, typically experienced in applying subject knowledge in an integrated platform which may involve safety and/or cyber security related activities Exposure to working with stakeholders outside of the local team, nationally and / or internationally Knowledge and experience in Object Oriented design and Model Based engineering tools and techniques would also be advantageous Awareness of Engineering and business processes, familiarity with implications of decisions on time / cost / quality and be able to support timely and accurate performance reporting As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. The Weapons Systems UK Engineering Team: As part of BAE Systems Platforms and Services sector, Weapon Systems (UK) designs, develops, manufactures, and supports artillery systems, naval guns, and provides engineering capability to the wider BAE Systems business.
