Purchasing Assistant Technology company | Segensworth | Hybrid working This is a genuine development role within a growing technology business, designed for someone who wants to build a long term career in purchasing and progress into a Buyer position. You’ll join a supportive procurement team who are committed to training, mentoring and developing you. From day one, you’ll be learning how purchasing works in a modern tech environment, with structured support to help you grow from a Purchasing Administrator into a Buyer over time. Why this role is worth your time • Clear training and development with the aim of progressing into a Buyer role, • Hands on exposure to the full purchasing lifecycle within a technology business, • Ongoing support and mentoring from experienced Buyers and the Purchasing Manager, • Opportunity to build strong commercial and supplier management skills, • Supporting the Purchasing and Supply Chain team with day to day activities, • Raising and managing purchase orders and maintaining accurate product and order data, • Working directly with suppliers to track orders, manage deliveries and resolve queries, • Partnering with Sales, Finance, Logistics and Sales Operations to support the buying process, • Assisting with reporting on sales performance, stock levels and product intake, • Some experience in admin, purchasing, customer services or a commercial support role, • A clear interest in developing into a Buyer or building a career in procurement, • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail, • Confidence working with systems and Excel, or a willingness to learn quickly, • Structured training and development to support progression into a Buyer role, • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, • Hybrid working, • Company pension scheme, • Staff discount scheme, • Employee Assistance Programme
