Closing Date 2025-12-17 Job Title: Performance Analyst Location: Durrington, West Sussex (2-3 days a week) Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: circa £34,100 + benefits The Customer Strategy, Insight and Performance Team helps support and drive many of the important decisions made to improve Southern Water's customer experience. This opportunity focuses on our business customers working with a friendly and focussed team. Job Overview This role is responsible for identifying and working through improvements in several of the department's key performance measures. This includes the creation and provision of management information for internal and external stakeholders, related to the Southern Water Customer Division (primarily the Wholesale Market - B2B). You'll be at the heart of a high-performing team, working hands-on with data and processes to identify areas of improvement, streamline workflows, and deliver information that empowers better decision-making. From producing polished reports and presentations to investigating root causes of issues, your work will directly improve outcomes for both customers and the business. General duties include reviewing and improving data quality, producing reports in Excel and PowerPoint and analysing data and workflows to identify root causes of issues and find areas of improvement. · Reviewing processes and current cases in the workflow system to understand any wider issue and work to improve the outcome for the customer and the business. · Deliver timely fit for purpose reports within agreed SLAs. Continuously improve the efficiency of reports to add value and allow for the focus to be on analysing the data rather than processing it. · Support the wider team by providing the information required to make informed decisions on a wide range of topics (including provision of data to external stakeholders such as MOSL, WaterUK and Ofwat). About You · Passion for understand why. Investigating and questioning how and why something has happened and what we can do to improve. · Good understanding and working experience of compiling and generating reports and management information (including Excel and PowerPoint). · Strong Excel skills and experience in data handling, manipulation, and reporting. · Ability and confidence to communicate appropriately with a range of audiences including peers and senior colleagues at all levels of an organisation. · Experience in the water industry or wholesale markets is a bonus, but not essential. Package This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between our Durrington office and home.
