Job DescriptionManufacturing Engineer We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the machining and assembly of precision hydraulic and mechanical components for aerospace applications. This role plays a critical part in improving manufacturing methods, supporting new and legacy programs, and partnering closely with Operations, Design Engineering, and Quality teams. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on manufacturing engineer who takes ownership of their work, asks questions when needed, and can quickly become an independent contributor in a fast‑paced, high‑mix aerospace environment. Location: Onsite – Long Island, NY Employment Type: Direct Hire / Permanent Salary Range: $70,000–$120,000 (based on experience) Schedule: 1st Shift | 40–50 hours per week Work Setting: Shop floor & office (business casual) Key Responsibilities • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes using knowledge of:, • Product design and materials, • Machining and fabrication methods, • Tooling, fixtures, and production equipment, • Assembly methods and quality standards, • Lead machining and assembly methodization for new aerospace hydraulic products, • Generate and maintain manufacturing and assembly documentation, • Provide day‑to‑day technical support to production, inspection, and test teams, • Design and implement manufacturing tools and fixtures using SolidWorks, • Analyze engineering design releases and assess operational impact (WIP, inventory, suppliers), • Develop and execute action plans to support new programs and sustain legacy products, • Improve processes to drive cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency, • Support troubleshooting of method‑related issues in collaboration with engineering and operations teams, • Assist in CNC machining strategies and support milling and turning programs, • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline, • 3–5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience (aerospace preferred), • Proficiency with SolidWorks for tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing documentation, • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and shop‑floor operations, • Knowledge of hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems, • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, • Strong attention to detail, task ownership, and time management skills, • Experience supporting aerospace or defense manufacturing environments, • CAM experience supporting CNC milling and turning, • Exposure to ERP systems, • Analytical and troubleshooting skills, • Experience with vibration analysis, ANSYS, or similar tools, • Combination of shop floor (CNC machining and assembly areas) and office work, • Clean, modern manufacturing facility with updated equipment, • Continuous improvement–driven culture, • Work on precision aerospace hydraulic components used in critical aircraft systems, • Hands‑on engineering role with end‑to‑end exposure from design through production, • Stable, growing workload with long‑term career potential Core Benefits Competitive Wages: Employees receive steady and reliable pay.
