Job Description Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Princeton, Texas 75407 Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour Shift: 1st Job Description: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for a wide variety of tasks related to the financial operations of the organization. This role involves daily operations to balance and reconcile banking accounts, prepare financial reports, process payroll checks and reports, and manage accounts payable. Key Responsibilities: • Actively participate in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including posting journals, balance sheets, and income and expense statements., • Reconcile bank statements., • Prepare payroll checks and necessary state and federal payroll reports., • Process accounts payable checks for corporate invoices and obligations., • Maintain files for all non-receivable corporate records., • Determine delinquent accounts and prepare a meter cutoff list., • Prepare materials, reports, and documents required by auditors., • Draft routine correspondence to customers and relevant entities., • Ensure adequate quality and inventory of computer forms, office supplies, and equipment., • Perform any other duties as assigned by the General Manager.Education and Experience:, • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent., • At least two years of experience in a business office environment, including financial accounting, payroll, and accounts payable.Qualifications: Knowledge of: • Effective and efficient business office procedures., • Computer payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger functions., • QuickBooks, word processing, and Excel spreadsheet software., • Payroll quarterly and annual federal and state reporting., • Financial reporting procedures and controls.
