Job Description Job Title: Welder Job Code: WELD001 SUMMARY: The purpose of this job is to weld fabricated pipe components; meeting product specifications and quality requirements by applying appropriate welding techniques. WAGE TYPE: Hourly FLSA Exemption: Non-exempt ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Mig & Tig welding, preferably AWS certified, • Ability to weld thin wall tube applications, • Experience welding 3 and 4 series stainless steel and carbon steel, • Welding spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead, etc., • Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, bolting, or grinding spare parts as necessary to satisfy the technical/quality requirements of a welded final product, • Control the processes of fitting, burning and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheat, distortion, expansion or shrink of parts, • Examining finished products and spare parts to verify that they meet specification requirements, • Being in charge of preparing and setting up necessary tools and equipment to weld, • Work within a team environment and train new welders as needed., • Good mechanical knowledge. Ability to read blueprints is required., • Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals., • Environmental responsibility is our commitment to our communities., • Proper disposal of waste such as recyclables, standard waste, hazardous waste, etc. is expected., • Any other tasks as required to fulfill Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers. ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE: • Reports to: Team Leader QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required. Education and/or Experience: Expected: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Minimum of two years related welding experience and/or training. Preferred: 5 years production welding experience and AWS certification. Communication Skills: • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language., • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
