Johnson City provides a welcoming community, parks, and easy access to the culture and amenities of Binghamton and the Southern Tier. • Location: Johnson City, NY 13790 — RN jobs in Johnson City, New York; Southern Tier healthcare, • Setting: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) NT 4 Unit — acute care nursing, • Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site, • Start Date: March 30, 2026, • End Date: June 27, 2026, • Duration: 13 weeks (travel nursing assignment), • Shift: Night Rotational — 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours/week, every other weekend (Fri–Sun), • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week, • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,620–$2,760 per week, • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, • Current New York State (NYS) RN License required, • BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross), • Minimum 5 years of direct Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) experience — strong preference for night shift experience, • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system — clinical documentation and medication administration, • Strong collaboration, communication, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills in acute care settings, • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), • Preferred: Professional certification in a related nursing specialty (e.g., Med/Surg-Certified, PCCN), • Provide comprehensive acute care nursing: assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a patient assignment, • Serve as the primary or accountable nurse per unit assignment; manage admissions, discharges, and transfers, • Administer medications safely and accurately, following hospital policies and medication administration protocols, • Perform focused physical assessments and monitor patient status for common Med/Surg diagnoses such as pneumonia, COPD, CHF, AKI, and osteomyelitis, • Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease management, and discharge planning, • Ensure compliance with nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement initiatives, • Participate in unit council, performance improvement, peer review, and evidence-based practice projects, • Provide mentoring and a supportive learning environment for new staff and nursing students, • Document care accurately in the EPIC EHR and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams GHR Healthcare Job ID #466065.
