Payroll Specialist (ADP) Century City - 3 days in office, 2 days remote A reputable mid-sized law firm is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join its collaborative finance team. This role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and an opportunity to take ownership of payroll operations while contributing to broader accounting initiatives. About the Role This position plays a key role in managing end-to-end payroll processing and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The role partners closely with finance leadership and provides visibility into overall accounting operations, making it a strong opportunity for someone looking to grow within a stable and team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities • Process payroll for 200+ employees across multiple pay cycles using ADP, • Monitor and review timekeeping data to ensure accuracy, • Calculate final pay, adjustments, and special compensation items, • Prepare and support payroll-related reporting, including quarterly and annual tax filings (e.g., 940/941, W-2), • Reconcile payroll data to the general ledger and ensure accurate posting, • Maintain and update payroll system configurations, including earnings and deduction codes, • Review employee payroll setup and audit deduction accuracy (e.g., benefits, retirement contributions), • Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation related to payroll and benefits, • Generate reports for compliance and internal analysis (e.g., ACA reporting, compensation reviews), • Stay current with payroll regulations and ensure system updates for compliance changes, • Assist with special projects in collaboration with finance leadership Qualifications • Strong experience processing payroll using ADP (required), • Solid understanding of payroll compliance, tax reporting, and reconciliation processes, • Experience supporting payroll for mid-sized organizations (200+ employees preferred), • Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams, • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
