Job Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in supporting daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and maintaining essential records. Responsibilities: • Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and on-time disbursements., • Prepare and log customer invoices, payments, and deposits with precision., • Conduct regular account reconciliations and resolve any inconsistencies swiftly., • Keep detailed and current records of all financial transactions., • Support month-end close procedures and contribute to financial reporting efforts., • Liaise with vendors and clients to address and resolve invoicing or payment-related issues., • Offer general administrative assistance to the finance department to help maintain efficient workflows, • Minimum of one year’s experience working in either accounts payable, accounts receivable, or both., • Foundational knowledge of standard accounting procedures and concepts., • Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks, • High level of accuracy and strong organizational capabilities., • Able to manage multiple responsibilities effectively through clear communication and solid time management.

Job Description Contribute to the maintenance of accurate and complete financial records, and ensure that financial-related information is made available in an accurate and timely manner. Provide support to the Accounting Department, Human Resources Department, and Senior Management. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned) 40% Oversee: • Processing accounts payable and reviewing related edit lists. • Processing expense reimbursement requests. • Administering weekly accounts payable check run, including staging of check run, and managing the mailing of checks • Processing customer AR invoices • Applying cash receipts against accounts receivable and reviewing related edit lists. • Monitoring receivables and ensuring timely collection of accounts receivable (for both component sales and tooling sales.) • Ensure proper accounting for project-related transactions (fixed asset purchases, leasehold improvements, tooling revenue & expense, etc.) • Analyzing commission reports and processing commission payments. • Preparing reports and tax filings required by third-parties on a timely basis. Such reports/filings include but are not limited to: o Form 1099s o Form W-2s • Issuing Sales Tax Exempt Forms to vendors and obtaining Form W-9’s from vendors and obtaining Form W-9’s from vendors • Reconciling balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis (including but not limited to cash, shipped not invoiced, accrued receipts/rec not invoiced, AR, AP) 25% Perform tasks to help maintain the general ledger. Related tasks include but are not limited to: • Preparing and posting journal entries related to a variety of accounting transactions. • Assisting with preparation of monthly financial statements, including preparing and posting various journal entries and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of transactions. • Reconciling balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis (including but not limited to cash, shipped not invoiced, accrued receipts/rec not invoiced, AR, AP) • Performing credit checks on new customers. • Actively monitoring operating expenses and identifying opportunities for savings related to, for example, telephone expense, office supplies, utilities, etc. • Monitoring transactions pertaining to the production of parts that involve both IM and BM. Ensuring that those transactions (i.e., DMR transactions, cycle-count adjustments, etc.) and ensuring that they are accurately captured within both the Box Score and general ledger. 15% Lead or actively participate in continuous efforts to maximize utilization of the company’s ERP system 10% Develop and maintain a variety of time-sensitive reporting, including but not limited to: • Publishing weekly Box Score and monthly KRM. • Assisting with preparation of monthly financial statements and budgets • Data collection for various projects and analyses requested by Director of Finance, CFO, and personnel from other departments. • Attending and contributing to financial meetings and discussions. 10% Perform a variety of other duties as needed, including but not limited to: • Assisting with providing information requested by external auditors. • Data collection for various projects and analyses requested by Director of Finance, CFO, and personnel from other departments. • Attending and contributing to financial meetings and discussions. Supervisory Responsibilities: The Accounting Specialist reports directly to the CFO. Requirements Minimum Qualification Standards: • Associate's Degree in accounting and minimum of five years’ experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment is required. • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including ability to perform tasks using Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, and generating reports using standard software applications. • Promote the Continuous Improvement Process. • Possess superior organizational skills. • Ability to compile, analyze, interpret financial reports, statements, and/or projections. • Demonstrated ability to adhere to time-sensitive due dates for various reporting needs. • Demonstrated ability to contribute to financial discussions and address company needs in a proactive manner. • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously. • Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines and complete projects in a timely manner. • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision making skills. • Excellent attention to detail. • Contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely, and accurate manner. Contribute to the maintenance of accurate and complete financial records, focused on managing the organizations expenses to improve profitability and efficiency. Act as business partner that supports Operations, Business Development, Supply Chain, and the Human Resources Department. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned) 40% Accurate and complete recording of transactions within the general ledger. Related tasks include but are not limited to: • Preparing, monitoring and analyzing financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets • Tracking and evaluating all expenses related to operations, such as production, labor, shipping, administration, and inventory. • Establishing benchmarks for various business processes and then comparing them against actual costs to identify and explain variances. • Preparing detailed reports on cost structures, performance against budgets, and presenting findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders. • Ensure proper accounting for project-related transactions (fixed asset purchases, leasehold improvements, tooling revenue & expense, etc.) • Monitoring transactions pertaining to the production of parts. Ensuring that those transactions (i.e., DMR transactions, cycle-count adjustments, etc.) are accurately captured within internal reporting and general ledger. • Perform monthly standard cost roll 25% Perform tasks to help maintain the general ledger. Related tasks include but are not limited to: • Preparing and posting journal entries related to a variety of accounting transactions. • Assisting with preparation of monthly financial statements, including preparing and posting various journal entries and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of transactions. • Reconciling balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis. 15% Lead or actively participate in continuous improvement efforts which include quarterly profit margin analysis. 10% Develop and maintain a variety of time-sensitive reporting, including but not limited to: • Publishing weekly financial reporting. • Assisting with preparation of monthly financial statements and board package. 10% Perform a variety of other duties as needed, including but not limited to: • Meets expectations for non-routine tasks, including but not limited to audit requests, grant applications, tax filings (BAR filing, Sales Tax, PTET, etc.) reporting required by third-parties (RechargeNY, Empire State Development, etc.) • Assisting with documentation needed for R&D credits. • Develop, improve, and/or maintain a variety of financial models that facilitate the analysis of financial data. Such frameworks include but are not limited to: Machine Rates, Activity-Based Quoting • Utilizing historical data and cost analysis to help predict future costs and revenue, supporting budgeting and financial planning. • Data collection for various projects and analyses requested by Director of Finance, CFO, and personnel from other departments. • Attending and contributing to financial meetings and discussions. Requirements Minimum Qualification Standards: • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and minimum of five years’ experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment is required. • Experience in manufacturing and/or distribution industry preferred. • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including ability to perform tasks using Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Cost Accounting background Benefits Standard Health, Dental, Vision Benefits.
