    A client of Express Employment Professionals – Union, NJ is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Terminal Operator to support fuel operations at a local fuel terminal. This hands-on role is responsible for safely receiving, storing, and transferring petroleum products, ensuring all operations comply with safety and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor and operate terminal equipment to safely load and unload fuel products from trucks, pipelines, barges, or railcars., • Perform tank gauging and sampling to verify product levels, quality, and integrity., • Operate valves, pumps, meters, and other terminal equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures., • Conduct routine inspections of tanks, pipes, hoses, and safety equipment to ensure safe and leak-free operation., • Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials, use of PPE, and emergency response procedures., • Complete logs, reports, and documentation related to fuel movements, inventory, and maintenance activities., • Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and coordinate with maintenance teams when repairs are needed., • Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and supervisors to coordinate daily loading schedules and fuel deliveries. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required., • 1+ year of experience in terminal operations, fuel handling, or industrial process environments preferred., • Basic knowledge of fuel products, terminal systems, and safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.)., • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate valves, gauges, and control systems., • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and environmental procedures., • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs., • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, or be on-call as needed.     Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Food Safety & Quality Specialist with strong expertise in PCQI, HACCP, SQF auditing, and document control. This is a full-time, in-house position responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and auditing food safety and quality systems to ensure compliance with FDA regulations, GFSI standards, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in food manufacturing environments and a strong understanding of preventive controls, risk assessment, supplier verification, and audit readiness. Key Responsibilities Food Safety & Compliance Serve as or support the Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) under FSMA. Develop, implement, and maintain Food Safety Plans. Conduct hazard analyses and validate preventive controls. Oversee corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs. Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA (if applicable), and local regulatory requirements. HACCP & SQF Systems Develop and maintain HACCP plans. Lead internal audits and mock inspections. Manage and support SQF certification and surveillance audits. Conduct risk assessments and verification activities. Train staff on food safety and quality procedures. Audit Management Lead internal audits for SQF, HACCP, GMP, and regulatory compliance. Prepare for and manage third-party and regulatory audits.
