As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a technically proficient and highly motivated Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to drive municipal wastewater pump and grinder sales throughout the west territories. Position Summary The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – Municipal Wastewater will be responsible for growing Vogelsang’s municipal market presence across western USA. This position will focus on selling process and solids-handling equipment, particularly pumps, grinders, and related technologies, to municipal wastewater treatment plants, engineering firms, and channel partners. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve growth targets within the west USA municipal wastewater market., • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with municipalities, wastewater utilities, engineering consultants, and system integrators., • Conduct technical consultations, plant visits, and presentations to assess customer needs and propose tailored solutions., • Deliver compelling product demonstrations highlighting equipment performance, efficiency, and lifecycle benefits., • Collaborate closely with internal engineering, applications, and product management teams to ensure optimal system design and equipment selection., • Maintain strong, long-term relationships with municipal end-users and channel partners., • Track projects from specification through bidding and procurement to close., • Regularly attend industry trade shows, professional conferences, and regional association meetings (e.g., CWEA, AWWA). Required Candidate Qualifications (Must-Haves) • Residency & Travel: Must currently reside in California within convenient access to a major airport (Los Angeles, Sacramento, or San Francisco preferred)., • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or CivilEngineering from an accredited institution. Candidates with experience at municipal equipment dealers or manufacturers’ representatives are strongly encouraged to apply, provided they meet the mandatory criteria above. Additional Qualifications • Strong understanding of pumping systems, fluid dynamics, and process troubleshooting., • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles from specification to close., • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
