Director, Recruitment Marketing & Community Growth Scope: Full-time, Permanent Location; Boston, MA or Columbia, SC Hybrid Schedule: 2-3 days on site, remainder remote Salary Range: $110-$130K + Benefits About the Opportunity Our client is a global creatie agency operating at the intersection of education, sports, music, and entertainment. They help leading brands connect with Gen Z and Millennial audiences through culture-driven, hyperlocal engagement. They are launching a net-new function and seeking a Director, Recruitment Marketing & Community Growth to design, build, and scale a high-performing student ambassador ecosystem. This role blends recruitment marketing, community building, partnerships, and performance marketing to power client campaigns globally. This is a builder role with end-to-end ownership and high visibility across client teams, leadership, and new business efforts. What You Will Own Ambassador Community Growth and Pipeline • Architect and scale a global student ambassador community that supports client programs, • Own the full ambassador funnel: awareness, application, screening, placement, and activation, • Define ideal candidate profiles, quality benchmarks, and scoring frameworks, • Lead a multi-channel growth strategy across paid social, SEM, email, SMS, and organic channels, • Build and manage partnerships with campus organizations, Greek life, athletics, career centers, and student groups, • Optimize funnel performance using CPL, CPA, conversion rates, and lead quality metrics, • Build and manage an always-on digital community using platforms such as Discord or Slack, • Design CRM and automation journeys across the full student lifecycle, • Own the MarTech and RecruitTech stack, including CRM, ATS, automation, and community tools, • Build dashboards to track pipeline health, engagement, and acquisition performance, • Align ambassador readiness with global client program launches, • Support new business efforts by showcasing the strength and scale of the ambassador network, • Adapt strategies across regions, cultures, and international markets, • Mentor team members and help establish a high-performance, growth-oriented culture Desired Experience • 8+ years of experience in community growth, recruitment marketing, or performance marketing, • Proven success building and scaling digital communities, • Strong background in paid acquisition and organic growth strategies, • Experience developing partnerships with campuses, organizations, or brands, • Hands-on experience with CRM and automation platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar), • Strong command of performance metrics including CPL, CPA, funnel conversion, and lead quality, • Deep understanding of Gen Z platforms and behaviors (TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Discord, etc.), • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both students and executive stakeholders, • Builder mindset with demonstrated success in 0-to-1 environments Nice to Have • Experience running campus marketing or ambassador programs, • Existing university or student network, • Exposure to AI-driven sourcing or community tools Why This Role • Build and lead a brand-new function with ownership from day one, • Combine talent, marketing, and community into a single strategic discipline, • Drive impact across global brands and youth culture ecosystems In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
