Job Details What You’ll Do • Advise developers, property owners, investors, and institutions on NYC zoning, planning, and land use issues., • Handle applications before the City Planning Commission, Board of Standards and Appeals, and other municipal agencies., • Draft and negotiate agreements related to development rights, easements, and zoning lot mergers., • Represent clients in hearings, community board meetings, and agency presentations., • Provide counsel on environmental review (SEQRA/CEQR), historic preservation, and related regulatory matters., • J.D. from an accredited law school; admitted (or eligible) to practice in New York., • 3–7 years of experience in land use, zoning, and real estate development (firm or government agency background welcomed)., • Familiarity with ULURP, zoning resolution, variances, special permits, and development rights transfers., • Strong presentation and negotiation skills; comfortable engaging with city officials, boards, and community groups., • Excellent writing, research, and organizational skills.
