This opportunity is ideal for a Litigation Associate Attorney or Civil Litigation Associate looking to deepen their experience in foreclosure law while working in a collaborative and entrepreneurial setting. Key Responsibilities • Manage contested foreclosure cases from inception through resolution, • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions for summary judgment, and orders to show cause, • Conduct detailed legal research related to foreclosure and creditors’ rights matters, • Review title reports and supporting documentation for foreclosure actions, • Appear in court proceedings and represent clients in hearings and negotiations, • Stay informed on evolving foreclosure laws and regulatory developments, • Independently manage a caseload while maintaining high-quality legal work Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Litigation Associate Attorney, Consumer Litigation Associate, or General Litigation Attorney, • Admission to the New York State Bar (NY Bar required), • Strong experience handling foreclosure or creditors’ rights matters, • Ability to independently manage cases and meet deadlines effectively, • Experience with commercial foreclosure, commercial closings, or bankruptcy is a plus, • Strong academic credentials and legal foundation Education • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Certifications • Licensed and in good standing with the New York State Bar Skills • Excellent legal research and writing skills, • Strong communication and negotiation abilities, • High level of organization and attention to detail, • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Culture & Firm Appeal This growing law firm is known for its diverse practice areas and client-focused approach.
