Job DescriptionMeat Repacker Location: Birmingham, AL Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday Pay Rate: $16/hour Job Description: The Meat Repacker is responsible for handling, packing, and repacking various meat products in accordance with company and safety standards. This position plays a key role in ensuring products are processed, packaged, and labeled accurately for distribution. Key Responsibilities: • Pack and repack meat products as per company specifications., • Measure, weigh, and count products and materials to ensure accuracy., • Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools., • Clean containers, materials, supplies, and the work area using cleaning solutions and hand tools to maintain sanitation standards., • Inspect containers, materials, and products for quality, ensuring that packing specifications are met., • Load materials and meat products into packaging equipment., • Mark and label containers, tags, or products accurately using appropriate marking tools., • Move, sort, and organize products, materials, and orders using hand tools or power equipment., • Fill containers with products/materials both manually and through the use of equipment., • Record product, packaging, and order information accurately on required forms and records., • Remove completed or defective products and materials, placing them on conveyors or in designated areas (such as loading docks)., • Seal containers or materials using glue, fasteners, nails, and hand tools as needed., • Adhere to all safety and food handling regulations and company procedures.Requirements:, • Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods., • Comfortable lifting and moving items weighing above 50 lbs., • Team player with the ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision., • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills., • Previous experience in a food processing, packing, or warehouse environment is preferred but not required., • Environment: Cold storage/processing area (must be comfortable in low-temperature conditions) Lifting Requirement: Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more As part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
