American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in San Bernadino, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 11/10/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Work in the Emergency Room of an acute care setting, • 24-bed main ER with fast track unit, but travelers are primarily in the main ER, • Handles approximately 250 patient visits per day with patient ratios of 2:1 to 4:1, • Typical patients include STEMI, cardiac, sepsis, stroke, DKA, alcohol-related cases, and other acute emergencies, • 12-hour night shifts, primarily Friday through Sunday, with flexibility required, • ER techs, nurse aides, and a charge nurse provide support, • Uses Cerner PowerChart for electronic medical records, • No floating required, • Must work holidays as scheduled within the perm staff rotation, • Provide emergency nursing care including triage, acute care, and rapid assessment, • Support structure includes ER techs, phlebotomists, 24/7 respiratory therapy, and pharmacy, • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, • Must wear blue scrubs as the designated RN uniform, • On-floor orientation provided at the start of assignment, • No inpatient pediatrics or behavioral health units, • Returning candidates must not have been employed by the relevant health system within the past year\n \n Requirements\n, • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted, • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience, • Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications, • Trauma experience preferred but not required, • Experience with Cerner PowerChart preferred, • Two references required: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months, and one supervisor or peer reference from within the last 3 years, each with employment dates and rehire eligibility, • Copy of driver’s license required, • Must pass required dysrhythmia exam and clinical skills tests prior to start\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
