Job Description POSITION SUMMARY Join a growing team of engineers, geologists, and project managers specializing in subsurface salt cavern and injection well design, drilling, and maintenance; environmental regulatory compliance; and soil and groundwater investigation and remediation services. Strata’s clients include midstream oil and gas, manufacturing, chemical, and heavy industrial clients. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, technical environment, supporting both human resources and project compliance functions. Applicants must be able to work both collaboratively and independently while consistently upholding high professional and ethical standards. High-performing candidates may be considered for full-time employment upon completion of the internship. WHAT YOU WILL GAIN • Hands-on experience in both human resources and project compliance, • Exposure to real-world regulatory, safety, and operational processes, • Opportunity to work with technical teams across multiple disciplines, • Potential for full-time employment based on performance and business needs PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Project Compliance Support • Help coordinate contractor onboarding, compliance and contract documentation, • Assist in maintaining project compliance throughout the lifecycle of projects, • Support compliance with client health and safety programs (e.g., Veriforce, ISNet, Avetta), • Track and maintain client site access requirements, including training and certifications Human Resources Support • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and system updates, • Support administration of employee benefits (401k, FSA, DCA, health insurance, etc.), • Help maintain compliance with drug and alcohol testing programs and background check requirements (e.g., DISA, NCMS, TPS Alert), • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation Insurance & Administrative Support • Assist with maintenance and renewal of business insurance policies., • Obtain and provide certificates of insurance (COIs) for clients., • Review contractor insurance levels to ensure compliance., • Coordinate and compile data for audits. Additional Responsibilities • Assist with various marketing activities., • Support review and formatting of client and subcontractor contracts, • Maintain corporate electronic and paper records, • Provide general office administrative support, including supply management, office/equipment maintenance document preparation (proposals, reports, permit applications, etc.) MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS • Experience: Prior internship or administrative experience preferred, but not required., • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field., • Required/Preferred Skills: Interest in human resources, compliance, or operations. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Willingness to learn industry systems and processes., • Computer Skills: A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must. Experience using safety consortiums such as Veriforce, ISNet, Avetta, DISA, NCMS, etc. is preferred., • Interpersonal: Must be able to effectively understand and communicate business contract requirements, insurance terms and conditions, and health and safety program requirements to clients, co-workers, and regulators in a manner that can be understood by all., • Confidentiality: Must be able to work under attorney/client privilege and respect and uphold company, personnel, and client confidentiality., • Communication: Responsive to points of contact both internal and external to the business. Effective writer for the preparation of reports, plans, procedures, memos, letters, etc., • Workload Management: Able to prioritize and successfully accomplish multiple tasks at once., • Personality Attributes: Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a team. Reliable, punctual, and responsive. Strong follow-through; consistently completes tasks and closes loops. Communicates professionally with team members, clients, and vendors. Takes initiative and seeks continuous improvement, • Attention to Detail: Expects the highest quality of work products including data and information accuracy. Verifies information with clients and desires input from internal team members to get the best results. Reviews own work prior to requesting internal review., • Physical Activity: Must be able to climb stairs. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., • Transportation: Valid driver’s license and safe driving record., • Travel: Must be willing and able to travel on rare occasions., • Authorization to Work: Must be US Citizen., • Screenings: This position requires initial and ongoing background checks and drug and alcohol screenings.
